Five Turkish soldiers were killed in an attack blamed on Kurdish militants in the restive southeast of the country. According to AFP citing a local security source eight other soldiers were wounded after a homemade bomb exploded while a military convoy was passing in Uludere, close to the Iraqi border. The bombing was blamed on militants from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party.
