The sikh community in california state of the united states erupted in protest after an unidentified miscreant desecrated a copy of their holy scripture in broad daylight. A vandal tore into pieces the sikh holy book, sukhmani sahib gutka, in front of members of the community. The sikh community took to the streets on wednesday and demanded immediate action in the matter. Reportedly, a scuffle broke out between locals and sikhs as the former objected to their gathering in union city. The incident also drew condemnation from the sikh community in india.
