Clinton Talks Jobs, Economy In St. Petersburg, Florida.

At a rally in St. Petersburg, Florida, democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton said she would raise taxes on the wealthy unlike her rival Donald Trump whose tax plans, she claimed, would give tax breaks to the wealthy. Clinton was addressing the rally in St. Petersburg just hours after trump addressed the Detroit economic club where he proposed sweeping tax breaks, cuts to federal regulations and a revival of the stalled keystone Xl oil pipeline project. Clinton also derided a list of economic advisers trump released last week as “Six Guys Named Steve.” The bump for Clinton followed the democratic national convention in Philadelphia last month at which Clinton and her supporters painted an optimistic portrait of America, and came amid controversy over Trump’s comments about the parents of a slain Muslim U.S. Soldier.
